Senator Hayatou Aicha Pierrette is a celebrated Cameroonian legislator. She has been a member of the Senate since the legislative body was introduced in 2013, having maintained her place in the house after elections at the institution in 2018 and 2023. As a legislator, Senator Hayatou Aicha Pierrette who is of the Cameroon people’s Democratic Movement, CPDM party, has led several projects tailored to champion the wellbeing of Cameroonians. She is one of the vice presidents of the parliamentary alliance in charge of food security and nutrition where she strives in fighting hunger through the promotion of sustainable agriculture and the introduction of mechanisms designed to handle challenges like drought and others.
Senator Hayatou Aicha Pierrette is also one of the leading figures of acclaimed charity, the Circle of Friends of Cameroon, CERAC, which is led by the First Lady, Chantal Biya. At CERAC, the legislator has under the guidance of the First Lady, contributed in pushing for the wellbeing of vulnerable populations, women, young girls, among others. Her activities have been acclaimed as being well-tailored and result-oriented, earning her respect from national and international bodies.
