Cameroonians are divided over the partnership despite the Swiss supplier’s traceable records in the business
The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT has announced that FOURTEEN, a Swiss sports brand, has been selected as the official equipment supplier for all Cameroon National Football Selections. The decision was made by the FECAFOOT Emergency Committee following an evaluation process involving six competing bids. The information was rendered public by the federation’s secretary general, Mandong Isaac Noé last Tuesday February 4, 2025. According to the official statement, the selection process was based on recommendations from the Federation’s Internal Contract Award Commission, which reviewed the proposals before making its final recommendation.
The committee assessed various factors, including the contractual Commitments and previous experience of the bidders. With this new partnership, FOURTEEN will provide kits and sports equipment for all categories of Cameroon’s national football teams. The agreement covers both men’s and women’s teams, including the senior national team, the Indomitable Lions, as well as youth and intermediate categories. FECAFOOT’s announcement also called on supporters and stakeholders to embrace the new kits and other official equipment as part of their support for the national teams.
The Federation stated that the new collaboration aligns with efforts to ensure that Cameroon’s teams are equipped with the necessary gear for future competitions. The official unveiling of the new team kits is expected in the coming weeks. The Indomitable Lions will wear the new equipment in upcoming international competitions, including the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign. While debates continue over the choice of FOURTEEN, further details regarding the rollout of the new jerseys and other official team gear will be communicated by FECAFOOT in due course per the federation.
