The Cameroon National Schools Sports Federation, FENASCO has officially launched the 22nd edition of its activities on Sunday, July 31st 2022 at Mvomeka, in the South region of Cameroon.

More than 2500 secondary school’s athletes and managers have answered present to this special sports rendezvous which is taking place this year in Mvomeka, a locality in the South region and Dja-et-Lobo subdivision of Cameroon.
The opening ceremony has been launched by the Ministers of Sports and physical education and that of Secondary education, Pr. Narcisse MOUELLE KOMBI and Pauline Nalova LYONGA respectively at the Paul BIYA Multisport complex.
Other government high personalities answered present like the Director of the Civil Cabinet at the presidency of the Republic Samuel MVONDO AYOLO. The choice of Mvomeka’a as the site for this edition is not the fruit of randomness.
According to Pauline Nalova LYONGA, the town has been chosen for its rich history and forest resources were the students can enrich themselves with their forefather’s values as well as inspiring themselves with president Paul BIYA’s wisdom. She invited the students to use this opportunity to create a harmony between sports and studies.
Kickoff
After the introduction of the Olympic flame and the lightening of the sports bowl, an oath was taken by an official, a coach and an athlete. About twelve disciplines, amongst which football, handball, athletes, badminton, volley-ball, fight, gymnastic, judo, and table tennis, will serve as space of expression of talents for the different athletes.
Every delegation present at the competition is composed of about 194 athletes, 50 officials, 20 coaches, 10 young reporters as well as 6 administrative managers for a total 226 members. The competitions were officially launched by the kickoff of a female football match for this 22 edition which will last till August 6th, a whole week full of a variety of challenges and emotions.
