The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, MINJEC, Mounouna Foutsou, has announced an extension for the submission of applications for the Afriland First Bank-Fogajeune special call for projects to June 6, initially set for Friday, March 14, 2025.
The information is from a press release from MINJEC, made public on March 20. The extension will provide additional time for youths aged between 15 and 35 who are interested in applying for the selection and financing of their entrepreneurial projects. This initiative falls under the partnership agreement between Afriland First Bank and the Young Entrepreneurs’ Guarantee Fund, FOGAJEUNE, aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs in Cameroon. According to the official statement from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, complete applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Ministry’s Central Mail Service, located at the Administrative Centre.
Additionally, applications can be submitted through the decentralized and devolved services of the ministry. Each envelope must bear the mention: “Special call for projects for the selection and financing of three hundred, 300, projects of young entrepreneurs under the partnership agreement between Afriland First Bank and the Young Entrepreneurs’ Guarantee Fund (FOGAJEUNE).” In addition to the physical submission, applicants are required to send an electronic copy of their application to the designated email address: Fogajeune@gmail.com. This special call for projects aims to identify and support 300 entrepreneurial initiatives led by young Cameroonians, fostering job creation and economic development.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to empower the youth and facilitate access to financial resources necessary for business development. With this extension, the Ministry encourages all eligible young entrepreneurs to take advantage of the additional time to prepare and submit comprehensive applications. The initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to promote youth employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Cameroon. For further details on the submission process and eligibility criteria, interested applicants are advised to contact the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education or visit its official communication channels. The partnership agreement between MINJEC and Afriland First Bank was signed in November last.
