This was during a two-day capacity-building workshop held at the Faculty of Science, University of Buea, from April 12 to 13, 2025, and presided over by Prof. Roland Ndip, Dean of the Faculty.
In today’s rapid growth of education and research landscapes, efficiency is not just a buzzword but a necessity. United by this common goal, the Faculty of Science organized a two day workshop from Thursday, 12 to Friday, 13 December 2025 in the Faculty of Science Boardroom, under the Chairmanship of Professor Roland Ndip, Dean of the Faculty. In attendance were academic and non-academic staff of the Faculty.
The two-day workshop gave members of the Faculty the opportunity to share best practices and identify strategies that can optimize their efforts in delivering high-quality education, fostering cutting-edge research and ensuring effective governance. Elements which the Vice-Dean of Programmes and Academic Affairs, Professor Jane-Frances Akoachere said “are important in our success as individuals and as a team”. Presentations were made on various topics including Administrative Procedure, Management of Research and Financial Files, Career Development for both Academic and Non-Academic Staff.
All the participants at the workshop left the Faculty of Science’s Boardroom on the last day of the workshop visibly impressed and thrilled. At the end of the workshop, Professor Roland Ndip thanked all the attendees for their participation especially the presenters for the insightful presentations. He urged the staff to use the information to improve on the performance of the Faculty so that it continues to attract many more people to the University.
