Asonyu never planned to become an entrepreneur. However, a simple compliment on her unique hair bonnet sparked a journey that transformed her talent into a small business. Since launching her venture in 2023, Joyceline has not only embraced her creativity but also navigated the challenges of entrepreneurship with resilience. Her journey began unexpectedly when a friend admired the hair bonnet she had produced and was wearing and requested one for herself.
“I made it for her, and soon after, she started bringing me clients,” Joyceline recalls. What started as a casual request quickly blossomed into a flourishing business, with clients now spanning both local and international markets. “I never imagined that something I made for myself would turn into this,” she reflects Despite the success, Joyceline faces obstacles common to many entrepreneurs. As someone who is naturally reserved, she often struggles with communication, particularly when it comes to managing client expectations.
“Sometimes, it’s hard to tell a client that their order is not ready or that I can’t deliver on time,” she admits. This challenge has pushed her to step out of her comfort zone and develop her communication skills. Asonyu believes that every individual has untapped potential waiting to be discovered. “You’re not lazy; there’s always something you know you can do best,” She encourages aspiring entrepreneurs. With determination and faith, she emphasizes the importance of putting in effort and staying committed to one’s passion. “By God’s grace, you will see how far it will take you.”
Through her journey, Asonyu aims to serve as an inspiration, demonstrating that sometimes, the most beautiful opportunities arise from unexpected moments.
